Batom Produções represents Brazil at the Séries Mania Forum in France

Batom Produções and its representative – director, screenwriter, and actress Alexia Annes – have just celebrated an important milestone in their journey by joining the Brazilian delegation at the Séries Mania Forum 2026 in Lille, France. Widely recognized as a central hub for the global audiovisual industry, the forum brought together producers, distributors, and the world’s leading streaming platforms. In this edition, Brazil stood out as the only official delegation from Latin America, highlighting the growing international interest in original Brazilian content.

The national delegation was organized through a strategic partnership between Brazilian Content, the Ministry of Culture, SPCine, PNAB, and ECAB, bringing together 15 selected production companies under the leadership of Lucas Soussumi. Batom Produções earned its place through a rigorous selection process and was represented in person by Alexia Annes. During the forum, she presented Batom Produções’ projects and led business meetings aimed at fostering co-production agreements and licensing opportunities, with a focus on the European and Asian markets.

“Participating in Séries Mania and introducing Batom Produções to the international market is a key step in the global expansion of our work. Brazil participated through this unique Latin American delegation,” says Alexia.

Among the highlights Batom Produções brought to France were the series “Sukata, the Musical “and “This is Not a Love Story”. Sukata, already in distribution in Brazil, is now exploring opportunities abroad. This is Not a Love Story was presented in its early development stage, with the main goal of attracting partners for an international co-production. For Alexia Annes, the forum represented the maturation of the production company, providing direct contact with numerous global channels and production companies.

Participation in Séries Mania not only strengthens Batom Produções’ network but also marks the beginning of its internationalization phase. By connecting its stories to the Lille market, the company reaffirms its ability to create content with a Brazilian identity that has universal appeal, positioning itself firmly in the global audiovisual circuit.

“This experience placed us at the centre of the global series market. Beyond the meetings and panels, we built strong relationships and explored future partnerships. None of this would have been possible without the support of Brazilian Content, SPCine, PNAB, and ECAB. I am very grateful for this opportunity. I return to Brazil with ongoing partnerships and the certainty that our stories can cross borders and engage audiences worldwide,” says Alexia Annes.

Founded in 2012, Batom Produções has produced over 10 short films, two series, and several shows, consolidating its presence in Brazil and now expanding toward the international market.
