Raul had posted an online ad looking for musicians to start a new band. After a few jam sessions playing covers, they teamed up with drummer Rob Tetro, who was also found through an online ad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As they grew more serious about writing original material, the band realized they needed a second guitarist. In January 2022, Brett discovered Rod Mariani through another ad and invited him for an audition. With Rod\u2019s addition, DethFX finally solidified its lineup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The diverse musical backgrounds within the group resulted in a unique sound they define as Progressive Thrash Metal \u2014 a blend of traditional American thrash with elements of progressive heavy metal.
